The 2026 Fiction Edit: Six Books for Your TBR

A reading list with more than one kind of story.

Our opening collection brings together six authors and a mix of literary fiction, romance, detective stories and espionage. The listed editions are part of our 2026 reading edit; some novels were first published before 2026.

• The Names — Florence Knapp: a family story shaped by three possible names.
• Broken Country — Clare Leslie Hall: a returning first love and the consequences that follow.
• The Persian — David McCloskey: modern espionage and shifting loyalties.
• The French Illusion — John Grisham: a kidnapping investigation spanning borders.
• Alex — Pierre Lemaitre: a dark French detective story.
• Nightshade — Michael Connelly: an island assignment that becomes a murder inquiry.

This is a demo collection with publisher-listed INR reference prices. It is an editorial selection, not a ranking of the year’s sales. Availability and fulfilment must be confirmed before launch.
